Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- NATO says it is investigating a Saturday attack by a man wearing an Afghan army uniform who opened fire on International Security Assistance Forces in southern Afghanistan, killing one.
The strike is one of four deadly attacks on international forces that occurred in the region over the weekend, ISAF said in a statement.
It is not clear whether the man was in disguise or serves as a member of the Afghan army.
In a separate incident, one NATO service member died in a bomb attack, the statement said.
Two other NATO service member died during separate operations in southern and eastern Afghanistan, bringing the death toll of international soldiers killed since Thursday to 10 people.
Six French soldiers -- including one marine commando -- were killed in insurgent attacks earlier this week.
Civilian casualties, meanwhile, are also on the rise in a rash of violence across the country.
On Thursday, the United Nations released a report that pointed to a "dramatic" hike in "conflict-related civilian deaths" as a part of a rise in militants' use of improvised explosive devices.
It noted a "shift in ant-government tactics" that has worsened the problem.
Afghan and Pakistani officials often blame civilian casualties on an increase in U.S. raids and drone strikes.
A NATO-led raid Friday left six civilians dead in a nighttime attack inside the country's Khost province.
The raid coincided with a suicide attack inside a Kandahar mosque that left six people dead and 15 others wounded.
The strike occurred as several high-ranking officials gathered in remembrance of Ahmed Wali Karzai, the powerful half-brother of Afghan president Hamid Karzai, who was killed Tuesday by a longtime bodyguard.
A total of 31 international soldiers have died in Afghanistan in July, including at least 14 Americans.
The attacks come just as NATO prepares to begin the first phase of handing over provincial security to Afghan security forces.
